Has it always cost money to put shows on?

I just put 20 shows on and money dropped from my account, Havent noticed it before today.

Hosting shows does not cost money/take any fees. You may have done something else whilst creating shows that has taken money from your account.

I trained one novice horse for $20, a total of 2020 left my account 

I am not overly worried, I just thought it was either an update I had missed or a bug,

If you can find a cause of money drain then report it as a bug. It seems like you may have just trained more horses than you thought before refreshing the show creation page.
