So I decided to sit down and try out coloring line art! Made it with Krita, though I don't have a full grasp on the program (especially layers, have no clue how to use them) so if anyone knows about any good step-by-step guides for Krita, please feel free to let me know! Just made up her name on the spot :) If I haven't properly credited anyone please also let me know.

Really cool ! I love Krita lol. You can create new layers by hitting the + sign if I remember right over to the right under the layer box . Then you can drag the layer overtop of the main layer to either go on top of or behind the main image. I'll try and find a tutorial though if I can.

I have both Krita and Sketchbook Pro 6, they are both awesome and now I just need to learn to draw and use them! lol

I have no characters, I hate to admit, I didn't even know what a character is . . . or a reference sheet. I had to ask!
Maybe I will post something here by the end of 2020! :)

GREAT work here folks! I will keep coming to see what's new

PS: if you google Krita tutorials, you should get some hits on youtube

Aw thank you Eddie! :)  And that's alright, I didn't really have any characters when I started too, I hand drew them at first :) I ended up looking up tutorials for Krita on Youtube, some were pretty helpful!

I hope to see what you do soon! :)

I don't know if I should call them characters or not . . .

going to try to link my first two attempts with sketchbook pro 6

Renegade and Lily

Renegade was the first and only horse I ever broke, back on my uncles farm in the 80s. He was a red roan and turned out to be a GREAT cow horse. I worked every summer on that farm and it is still some of the very best memories of my entire life! :) Renegade was always MY horse, even though he really wasn't. He belonged to the farm. lol

Lily did NOT turn out anything like I wanted her to! She was supposed to be the appaloosa from the same farm (same era) but well, I tried lmao
