Point of Converting?

What is the point in converting your house? I feel very confused.

I originally had two horses that were disciplined in Driving, I later converted them to Western prior to breeding them. However, after breeding them they had a foal that was primarily driving discipline.

If converting them doesn't change anything for later disciplines, what is the point in paying to have them converted?

Converting is really best for either foundation horses or horses that have been treated with peppermints and put in the "wrong" discipline for the sake of converting them to the one you really wanted them in later. Check the base stats of the horse(s) you want to convert before doing so to make sure that what you are converting them to is really the best, the base stats can't be converted so you could end up with higher stats in areas you don't want them.

So I did convert  foundation horses from Driving to Western:

Hard to say since she is now 3, might have been a bug/glitch or perhaps you converted someone else by accident first, bred her parents and then converted them too? It would have been easier to check on the problem back when it first occurred :) If it happens again, let us know in a ticket immediately and we'll see if we can't help you figure it out :)

Okay - I did originally place a ticket when she was born and then told to raise her until 3 when I could report back whether or not I could choose her discipline.

I think I will just stay away from converting, thanks for trying to help!

That's actually a bug report, I meant a ticket which can be placed here and me and the other mods will receive it. Though reading what maple told you, it might have been an issue with it being a pre-recode horse or something I'm not entirely sure :) Do you know for a fact that her parents were converted before she was bred? Cause if they were converted from Driving to their current disciplines after, she would have still had the driving stats.

No, since she was born back in 2017, I can't place the time that I paid the 10k to convert vs. the day she was born. I have a couple other horses that would need to be converted before a foal was porn. I will try with them and see if I get the same result. 

I ended up looking at her sibling who was born several days later and was born western without having to be converted. I think I mixed the two horses up and thought I kept the right one.

I'm really sorry, this sounds to be completely my error. 

Thank you also for explaining the difference between the bug report and a ticket. If it happens again - justifiably so and not just my mix up I will place a ticket.

^{We didn't have base stats available to view in 2017, and no one really realised how low base/convertible stats were in some cases, so it may be possible you had bred them before converting them.  Misread sorry lol.}
