5-Year Equiversary [+ another anniversary]

   5 years ago today a young kid, absorbed in the hunt for a fun and simple horse game he could get into without getting bored, stumbled across a site called Equiverse while tapping around in the "free horse game" Google search results after school.
   He had no idea he'd be writing something like this on that very website, 5 whole years later.

   Throughout the half a decade I've been here, I've seen whole generations of players come and go. Those from my earlier days who are still around always make me happy, as do those who were once the new kids on the block but are now seasoned veterans and well-known names.
   The game has changed a lot, both feature-wise and player-wise, but it's still around, and I intend to stick with it until it isn't anymore.
   Thanks for a great half-decade, guys. Am I an oldie yet? Haha.

   I'd also like to mention another special anniversary happening on this date. Today is the 2-year anniversary of the posting of a certain roleplay thread, which ended up becoming so much more than what any of us involved figured it would, as it brought those of us who remained involved past the beginning very close together as friends. I owe a lot to those people, and I thank you guys in particular for the best 2 years out of my 5 total here. I know that to anyone else this might sound hard to believe, but if I'd decided against signing up all those moons ago, I feel as though I'd be in a completely different place than I am now, both on this site and in my own real life.
