#214562 Posted on 2019-12-01 07:37:42 Soooo hubby got me an early Christmas present! A new baby horse! She is 6 months old and is super cute! ~~Posting pics when I get to my computer.~~ :) She is a registered American Quarter Horse, IC Highshelf Whiskey. She is a wild bay with 2 socks behind and a little star on her head. She is very mellow and sweet. I will let you guys know what it is when we know. :) @Mattie, she will be trained in ranch work, so I can rope off her, work and doctor cows. I am going to be doing all the training on this little mare myself. My husband is interested in learning better horsemanship practices, so I also plan to use this colt as a "gateway horse" to put him on the rode to better horsemanship. I have learned a lot from a variety of good horseman but my main focus is Mark Rashid and Warwick Schiller's schools of thought. Anyone familiar with them? 0 members like this post.
