Coloring Contest [HH2019]

Hello and welcome to the Coloring Contest! In this contest you’re asked to color one of the provided bases in a winter-y or holiday theme. There's two bases to chose from this year, last year's Blanketed pony in snow or the other half of that reference sheet with a standing pony!

Meet Gues!
—Pronounced like goose ; stallion ; Brumby ; probably like a year and a half old
Acquired some sort of magical abilities somehow?? Dunno how yet. The scar on his shoulder is tied into the origin of them though.
I already love him a lot lol.
I'm pretty happy with how the background turned out except for the trees but in my defense I accidentally put them on the same layer as the rest of it so I couldn't really add the snow on the branches too well.

This is Merry!

She is a blue roan/paint quarter horse. She is around 4 years old. She always gets excited when it starts to snow, she enjoys playing with the snowflakes, and jumping and rolling in the snow.

Gonna try this! Looks fun! :D

This is Martina! She is a paint mare. Probably about, eh, 3? She loves to play out in the snow and eat snowflakes!

She’s a nameless winter spirit, bringing the snow and cold every year. For the most part she appears to be and acts like a regular horse, but on the first day of winter she secludes herself from the other horses as her eyes start glowing and she no longer puts on a ‘normal horse’ front. For the rest of winter she travels to spread the cold. Snow falls from her legs, and with the help of her charm she can make the land freeze over rapidly.

The trick is, the land can only freeze behind her. So she walks in mostly the same direction until spring nearly arrives. She then turns and starts to head back to her home, and the snow melts behind her.

Eventually she joins her herd again and everything goes back to normal, until the next winter of course…

Most Creative: Bubbles - The story cinched it here. Just perfection. Glowing eyes and flaxen mane&tail? Love it.

Best Effort: Cresent Creek Stables - I really like the work you put into the blanket, what a great holiday theme!

Coolest Theme: Raptor - I love the Snowflake blanket on your Gooser and the handsoem facial stripe. and Hello that hook-y magic stick thing? yeah LOVE that. Also I'm a sucker for that shade of green. and the Trees look fine! at least they're different shapes, mine always come out very same-y

Judges Choice: Trailtales - Hello again, Your trees are jsut so pretty and I love them. Perfect Snow on the fence adn in the air. The pony is of course beautiful, with lovely colors and her blanket has the cutest sweater pattern!

Bonus Category: Best Backstory - BUBBLES, What a great story for your girl! I'm in love. You win the bonus, which is er not actually described so how bout an extra bit of cash xD
