So i went to my cousins house for a week and a half. She has a horse, and there are trees in the pasture. His favorite spot is in the trees. He loves to go in there and stand in the shade.

Ouch!!! I love riding bareback it's actually my favorite. I ride this black and white paint mare and she centers and trots like butter. She is my favorite to bareback, her and Pixie the pony. I don't think I'd like it so much if I got bonked with a tree though.

Ouch, I'd definitely go get checked for a concussion. It sounds like her horse is really only green broke. If he was fully broke you wouldn't have issues with him even non-tacked.

Yeah, my cousins freind had him when he was a foal, then they sold him. He was abused for years and was fed good. His first owner bought him back, then my cousin got him. So he wasn't trained very well by the people that had him second.

Doesn't sound like he is safe for kids at all. Horses are powerful animals, and though they may not mean to per se, they can REALLY hurt people...

He is very gentle. You can walk behind him and under him. When your tacking him up and grooming him, you don't even have to hold the lead line. He can stand on his own.

Walking under ANY horse is literally one of the dumbest things I have ever seen people do or say they do. Does not matter how "NICE" the horse is. Walking under a horse doesn't prove anything and certainly has no bearing on a horse's temperament or training level. And being able to pass behind a horse without getting your head kicked off should kind of be a given....?

I get what you mean. I was a baby and fell off so many times. But I always get back up. He is a really gentle horse even though ie he has a bad past. I will use this in the future. Thanks for that.
