Active Quarter Horse Association

#203400 Posted on 2019-05-19 14:13:40

I've tried to join a QH registry that is active, but havent come across any with similar interests that wanted to be active.

After some consideration I've decided to open a more active club with the help of another breeder, the hope once completed is to have an active QH club with similar interests to ours. We will focus on stats as well as conformation, as i havent come across many clubs who take that into consideration as well.

If any would like to add some ideas or interests in what they would like to see in a more active group please post them below. Everything is still in the beginning stages ♥

Thanks to all that take the time to read and give ideas!

I would love to find a group that has some focus on colour. I try to breed my Quarter Horses to real registry standards - no white patterns, however I allow roan and rabicano but it is so hard to find good non patterned horses.

I agree .. I would like one to follow real life quarter horse registry requirements. Saying this, I do realize that most of my foundation horses have some form of pinto coloration... I wish to focus more on roans, duns, and dilutes as well as your typical plain sorrels and bays. I push for stats and conformation first, though.

I run my appaloosa club here that way.. We go by 'real life' registration guidelines. ie, no paint patterns,sabino..etc.. Would be nice to have a quarter horse clubs that emulates the real life registration guidelines..
I prefer the solid horses.. love my roans ... much prefer to focus on breeding solid qhs..

It's been pretty difficult trying to get solid colored foundation Quarter Horses, I may get one out of every half dozen colored ones from the equine center.
