So I just started breeding dressage andys and I have a few questions:

  • What colours do people look for?

  • What colours do people avoid?

  • How are they selling currently (same with studs and broods)?

  • How do you price for sale/stud/brood?

  • What stats/confo are people looking for?

Thank you :)

If you have anything else to add please feel free

I can honestly, only answer some questions. (Based on my own preferances only.)

I primarily raise andalusians for racing, but i do have a small herd that is dressage. I’m thinking of trading my small dressage herd for unwanted andalusians with racing stats.
I prefer tham to have no pattern, but markings are fine.
The only color i avoid is gray.
I generally look for at least 50.00+ average conformation and non specialty stats that are less than 100.

I breed dressage andys as well, and the only thing I look for mostly is stats and conformation right now.
Colors aren't really my thing anymore.(Color only matters for my QHs) I do avoid grey though, but sometimes I'll let it slide.
I really don't know how they've been selling, but there are many studs and broods for sure.
Depends on stats and conformation. Right now I have many 1500+ most are in the 2000+ range, so about 15K to 35K, and as I said, it all depends on stats and conformation.
Right now conformation maybe about 70.00-80.00+ average conformation and non-specialty stats less than, if possible, about 70.

(People may add on to this)
