Stats from riding school

I know horses can do poorly in shows depending on their stat distribution but can horses that show well do poorly in the riding school? Or am I just getting unlucky? 

Stats don't matter in the riding school. You get money (EVD) and experience (EXP) based only on the hours you put in. Group lesson hours give more EXP while private lesson hours give more EVD. The only change that can happen is that you get an EXP and EVD bonus from placing horses with a matching disipline (eg. a dressage horse in a school that has dressage as it's current popular division will get extra, but a driving horse in the same school will get less). Edit: Also, trail riding gives the least amount of EXP and EVD, but gives a higher chance of finding items. So if you're getting less money and experience that could also be the problem.

Riding School gives you a 0-1stat per hour chance of gaining up to ten stats for ten hours of riding school. Already gained stats don't matter.
