Aerow
"Well, well now... Mason... I can't give you answers. Maybe because I don't know." Aerow studied Mason, flicking her hand. The door unlatched to the box, though it was up to Mason how to get out. "Till we meet again." And she was gone.

Harper
Harper nodded. "Yeah, thanks..." she stood up.

Louis
"Okay. Maybe we can get shoes in town. You ready to get going again?"

Harper
Harper nodded, taking a hair tie from her wrist and putting her deep, brown hair up in a ponytail. She was sick of it getting in her face, and decided to put it up.

Louis
"Great." Louis looked up at how much farther they had to go to reach town. They were almost there. He started walking again.

Harper
Harper followed Louis again, trying not to think to much about her family. Heck, I hope Shane's okay...

Louis
He reached the edge of town and paused to get his mind together. Now begins insanity. Yay.

Harper
"Maybe we should"ve tried over the fence," Harper mumbled, coming to anhalt next to him. She looked at the town suspiciously. There were people, mostly women, walking around, scolding people for particular things, or occasionally, getting all excited and hugging another fellow woman. They seemed quite harmless, but they were obvious authority, and Harper figured anyone who messed with them were in for it. The women wore black clothing, which seemed a little odd in the desert, and most all of them had their hair up. They were in between the ages of twenty-five and thirty-five, well formex, muscular, and had a gun strapped to their waist. Through the disguise, however, Harper could tell they had a motherly aura to them.
She turned to Louis. "This is a bad idea."

"I agree. But I have a feeling climbing the fence would have been worse if we had been caught. Besides, it was barbed wire. That's pretty hard to get over." Louis watched the activity a moment. It's so early. Why is it already so busy? "You should stay here for a few minutes." I don't want to be responsible for a kid getting hurt. "Let me scout it out, and if it all goes terribly, you can try for the fence."

Harper
Harper gave him a look. Okay, the look. "Umm... no. If something 'happens' I don't wanna miss out on getting to kill people," she argued, her point very illogical, but true.

"What?" He shook his head. "Actually, that's not even surprising. Fine, you can come. Are you ready?"

Harper
"Ouch. I'm not that predictable," she said quietly, though how she said it was very bold. She nodded her head and rolled her eyes. When am I never?

"That's not why it's not surprising." Louis couldn't help but laugh quietly when he saw her roll her eyes. This is going to be fun. He stepped out of the deserted desert and into the borders of the small town.

Harper
Harper followed him, but stopped quickly when they were met by a woman (she had named them the Solisticators). The lady smiled sweetly at them. "Aw, you poor children, out there without food or water I pressume? Come, come, we will get you two shelter and food, then a job to help you rank up! We have very strict rules, but do not worry, they aren't that hard!"

Louis
"...I'm an adult," he muttered to himself. He didn't trust her at all. Louis had been on a couple quests during his time at Camp, so he wasn't naive. He took Harper's hand, knowing she probably didn't want to but his protective nature got the best of him. "You're not going to put a child to work, are you?" he challenged the lady.

Harper
Harper huffed at like... five difderent things. The hand, him calling her a child, the lady, the air, the noise, her feet, her life. The lady just smiled. "Well, I guess that depends on your point of view on work. See, we would put her with a new family, but that takes a long time you see, as most families don't want to risk their rank being broken by a child they haven't raised. Even before that, there is a process to adopt a child. Money is involved, and sometimes it just depends soley on if the child is being adopted as a slave, servant, or child. Work is the best option for her, I'm afraid."
