[ADDED] *Deleting the limit for creating shows?

I create shows daily. But for all my horses those shows I create are still not enough and I assume that not every player who has deluxe account creates that much shows to be enough for everyone. This actually slows down breeding progress. So I thought that maybe it would be better to delete or at least increase the limit for creating shows. maybe make limits for every grade separately?

In my opinion the limit for each grade separately would be the best, but it shouldn't be less than 200 for each grade to make some difference. For example if you have 20 arenas, you can create 200 shows for National in Show Jumping, or 100 for National Show Jumping and 100 for National in Dressage.

This is something to discuss about, so let me know what you guys think. I would like to know your arguments for those options or for not supporting it at all ;)

I think that increasing the limit even by just 10 shows would make a difference (without changing the show creating system we have now).

^{Not a fan personally, an unlimited number of shows would lead to too many shows being created and spreading out the competition too much, especially since a lot of people use autoshow. There's also few competitors at the moment (I always compete against the same people) so this would be detrimental to showing and push people into schooling instead. Having a limit also promotes community interaction, even if it is a little annoying to have to wait for shows. I think we've lost some of the primary show makers and showers recently which only contributes to the problem, if there was more people encouraged to show and create shows then we wouldn't have a lack of shows.} 

I was considering buying a bunch of arenas in order to make more shows, so maybe doing that would go a little way toward helping out.

The issue with buying arenas is the MAX cap is 200 shows per player regardless of arena numbers.  I do think it should go back to how it was and that was based off the number of arenas a player had.

Actually that was what I meant by deleting the limit. It would be still 10 shows per arena, but a player who has 30 arenas could make 300 shows etc. It would still depend on the amount of owned arenas.

I think we should just raise the cap, so it isn't 200 (which isn't working right now) and it isn't unlimited (because of maple's valid point).

Also, I think we should lower the max number of entries to 8-10 entries. It might look like a small difference but I think this will help force players to spread out more. Often, I would find 10 shows with 13-14 entries and other 10 shows with less than five entries. If those last 3-4 horses were moved to last 10 shows, all last 10 shows will have over 5 entries. If more shows have at least 5 entries, I think more players will be more willing to show their horses. Often, I would choose riding school if shows doesn't have enough entries and I feel like they won't reach 5 entries. It is like a gambling, should I risk it and hope for the best or go for safer choice. 
**note: I like to make sure that only 3 of my horses are entered in same show (to ensure all of my horses have a chance to be placed). If a show have 0 entries, I have to decide if I want to risk it or not (for stats). 

@ωιςκεδ this is a good idea, but if we will raise the show creation cap, but lower the max number of entries it won't change anything, there will be still too little amount of shows. Then we should raise the show creation cap more to make it better.

Perhaps, instead of doing away with the show creation limit entirely, we could tweak the way arenas count towards the number of shows you can create.  We could keep the first 20 arenas as 10 shows each, but maybe the next 30 could be 5 shows each, and all the rest could be 1 show each.  That way, it would be much harder for one person to be able to make hundreds upon hundreds of shows just because they have a lot of arenas, but still, if someone saw that more shows were needed, they would have a way to help remedy the problem.

Another solution to the problem would be to take it out of player hands, keep the limit as it is, and just have the game create extra shows to fill in the gaps when it sees an empty category.  That would still encourage players to fill up shows instead of spreading things out too thin, but help deal with the problem of having no shows available, with your 200 shows already used, and having to wait until someone else happens to make some.

Most of my horses are lower in stats/points. And I had to design a schedule so certain horses show on certain days or theyd always be competing against each other. I'm accumulating points much more slowly now that i have more horses than at the start of the game when i had only one animal to enter in shows...

I feel like another option would be to give the ability to create shows to nondeluxe members but under a slightly more restricted capacity and possibly as a reward for leveling up...

I have the same issue trying to enter shows with 5-8ish entries. Then I check my show results the next day and my horse finished in 12th place when there were other shows available to have been entered. So the problem isn't purely a lack of shows. I am a deluxe member so I have the luxury of creating shows for myself when I don't have enough. When I check my shows they're nearly always very heavily split entry wise for the same class. 

I get not wanting it to be too easy because that does take the fun out of it. I just assume that if they're showing then they want stats and placings too and wonder why they would enter three horses in one show making 12 entries when another show was at 3 entries. They could have had much better odds putting three horses in that show instead.

I personally select all of my shows. I know people with more horses prefer the auto show, with good reason, but I think that is what tends to get those numbers so out of balance. 

Likewise I've been schooling my younger horses instead of showing because I have no chance at placings or stats with them if people are entering that many. I haven't been here for long so I don't have any 'how things used to be' thoughts or know what caused that to be changed in the first place but a lower max number per show definitely seems like it would make people enter more different shows. 

When I show, I use "least entries" for that very reason.  If everyone did that, we'd have much less extremes, but some people don't like that option because they prefer to only enter $20 shows, so they choose cheapest, or they want to make entirely certain that their horse will have enough competitors to earn stat point, so they choose most entries.

Sometimes the reason why some shows are so full and others are so empty is because the full shows are older than the empty ones, and have had time to accumulate entries.

But sometimes, things fill unevenly for no apparent reason.  Hand showing would help, but not everyone has the time for that.  Lowering the number of entries per show would help, also, but we do run into shortages sometimes, so it should probably be accompanied with a corresponding increase in the number of shows we can create.

The number of shows that can be created was increased some time ago, so this is considered added.
