Meet my new baby cavies!

Meet Biskwi (left, sow) and Donut (right, boar)

These guys came from a home where they were being neglected. They arrived in a cage caked with filth, underweight and separated from their mom way too soon.

Unfortunately they turn out to be brother and sister instead of the two sisters I was promised. But I'm not taking them back to the place they came from, so we'll have to figure out what to do.

The pics were taken earlier, right now there is a divider between them so they can't get to each other. No need for more babies...

At least now they're in a clean cage enjoying hay for the first time and having a blast at the salad bar.

They are adorable :) It is very nice of you to take them in, even when the male wasn't what you were looking for!
If you can't keep him, hope he is able to find a nice home that will be able to handle a male!

I used to have one for a year in college... Had to get rid of the cute little girl (Coco was her name!) to my roommates sister. Not sure how she's doing now, but hope she's okay!

Thanks guys ^^

I talked to a specialized vet, a gp rescue and a lady who used to breed show quality guinea pigs. They advised me to just keep them both in the same cage with the divider in between them until he is old & heavy enough to be neutered.
So these two will stay with me permanently.

I'm a bit bummed out but at least they're healthy. They both eat like pigs and are gaining weight :)
