I think that's because white is not a coat color, it's a 'marking'. All white horses have another color "underneath". You will see there is still WT on the KIT. I have never bought any of these so I am not sure but I think you also need the marking changer to remove the white.

hmmm i guess that makes sense now that i went in the horse customizer and see that white isnt a base coat. looks like i would have to change the KIT color. thank you!!

Yeah, white is a little odd cause it's a covering marking that covers up the underlying coat colour. If you want to get rid of it you'll need a marking applicator or randomizer.
