"Loving my new horse, named Hawk! (Appendix Gelding)"

UPDATE//I NOW OWN A HORSE AGAIN! My amazing friend/trainer/barn owner gave me one of her horses around the beginning of January 2021. His name is Hawk and is a beautiful 6 year old 15.2 hand Chestnut (with 4 white socks and a blaze) Quarter Horse (Possibly crossed with Thoroughbred, so just call him an "Appendix") who was a killpen rescue when he was a yearling and so I have known him for about 5 years now and he was originally my friend's mom's horse but due to health issues she is sadly unable to ride anymore and they love him and did not want to have to rehome him elsewhere so I took on his ownership and he gets to stay at the barn so it is a win for everyone. He is very very green broke, only having about 25 rides, and about 10 of those with me riding him. He is very sweet and a big puppy-dog character, hehe. I love him to bits and we hope to have a future in the Hunter Jumper show ring. I will add photos soon!

=====NOTICE; I created my Tag -Myself- using an actual photo of me and my new horse, Hawk, by turning it into lineart in GIMP and then coloring it in as best as I could to match my horse's chestnut coat color and his 4 white socks and blaze. It is not perfect but I love it and think I did a pretty good job og getting the lines done and his markings as correct as I could. I hope you all like it!=======

I used to go by Luna on here, but noticed so many others using that name also, so I decided to start using my usual, long-long-loooong time username that I use for everything else [Facebook/Email addy/literally everything else lol], EQUINISTA.

Sadly, I have lost my layout I made myself, in the recode...with no backups on my laptop, sigh.

I don't know when I will have time to make my own again, if ever. :/

My Name is Jenn. From and currently living in my hometown in Southeast Florida. I am 32. Lifelong Equestrian [Lifetime AQHA member] from Barrel Racing, to Hunters, to helping train and exercise racehorses [with Thoroughbred racehorse owner and trainer Larry Getto, his horses are raced at Meadowland Racetrack mostly] I have an awesome hubby, been together for 13 years now, his name is Brian, and he is from Merced, California, born and raised. (We met in California in 2009) And I absolutely LOVE California and the entire west coast, but I also LOVE Las Vagas...and most anywhere in the Desert Southwest as to me there is NO landscape more beautiful than that of he vastly diverse and amazing Desert, and I hope to one day live out the rest of my life in either Vegas or the surrounding Desert area.

I currently ride 1-3 times a week, more or less depending on how I feel as I suffer from Fibromyalgia, which causes me a lot of muscle aches and pains, extreme fatigue/quick exhaustion, among other horrible symptoms. I ride at a friend of mine's barn and she owns several different horses. She also rescues and rehomes the occasional OTTB (sometimes other breeds) and so I sometimes help out with riding and re-training the rescues to prepare them for their new (GOOD, only) homes and next chapter in their lives and I absolutely love it. ^_^
