Welcome to Golden Cavalier Stables!

I breed Trakehners exlusively for show jumping with an emphasis on

stats. Conformation and color are secondary goals, though always

considered; I like to keep as much coat variety in my stock as I can.

I do happily adopt rescue horses where possible, and any rescue horses I own

are marked with an [R] after their names. A synopsis of every horse's unique

personality is written up in their public info based on my experience with them,

along with their stable name. I also try to keep most horse's original registered

names or tweak them only slightly when they arrive.

Breeding Policies:

As a personal policy I don't abandon horses, nor cull foals. Horses I don't want

will be put up for sale and/or and cared for as schooling mounts. All young horses

are trained daily from the moment they enter the stable.

Mares and stallions are matched into optimal breeding pairs; producing a

maximum of 4 foals in their lifetimes starting no earlier than 18 years old.

Because of this, my stallions aren't generally up for stud, and will be fairly

expensive when they are.

I carefully monitor all of my horses' inbreeding coefficients (COIs) to the best of

my ability. Pedigrees of horses I've bred will always be clean going back at least

the four generations shown. The vast majority will be completely clean.

Sales:

The prices below are negotiable. I'm happy to take reasonable

counter-offers on all of my stock, so feel free to shoot me a message.

Every horse that I've bred myself comes with a clickable tag in its

public notes that leads back to my stable. If you buy from me I would really

appreciate if this tag is left on the horse's page; it's my discrete replacement

for a prefix.

If you ever consider abandoning one of my horses, please send it back to

me instead, free of charge.
